50 m Columbus Anjelif delivered to her owner
She is equipped with a hybrid powertrain and a virus eliminating air purification system.
Columbus Yachts, the brand of Palumbo Superyachts, delivered the 50m aluminium motor yacht Anjelif to her owner. She will make her debut at this year's Monaco Yacht Show.
The exterior and interiors of the 499GT vessel come from the drawing board of Marco Casali of Too-Design and the naval architecture is done by Hydro Tec. Besides of the champagne-coloured hull, the superyacht features a number of technical innovations such as a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system and onboard sanitation systems.
The yacht is equipped with a cold plasma system to eliminate virus and bacteria, which is incorporated into the air conditioning system. There is also an automatic air purification system which can be programmed to activate at preset intervals.
The layout includes four guest cabins and a master suite on the main deck as well as seven cabins for 11 crew.
In keeping with the owner's wishes, Anjelif's interior makes extensive use of natural materials and features a gym, sauna and massage room. Aft on the main deck there is a teak-finished swimming pool, complemented by a Jacuzzi on the upper deck.
Other features include a helipad in the bow, which can also be used as an open-air cinema.
The vessel's hybrid system utilises two 100kW electric motors to achieve speeds of around nine knots in diesel-electric mode. When paired with the main diesel engines, they can operate as shaft generators, eliminating the need to switch on the main gensets. The yacht is also equipped with a lithium battery pack to serve as a backup power source.
MTU diesels of 1,939 kW each allow a maximum speed of 20 knots and provide a range of 3,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
